Thursdays welcome rain cleared the air and we have a lots of apples – good Honeycrisp out there plus nice Macouns, Cortlands and Galas.  The photo shows some beautiful Macintosh on the 84 year old trees that keep on giving us great crops.

Cider and Syrup are resupplied.  The donut crew are ready to go on both Saturday and Sunday – last weekend they made 3000 donuts.

Charlie the purple alligator will be out guarding the orchard on Sunday – he has been spending a lot of time around those beautiful old Macintosh trees – kids remember to be nice to him if you find him.

Lots of good apples plus donuts , cider and maple syrup.

Honeycrisp, Macintosh, Cortland, Macoun, Gala, Zestar, Ginger Gold and Blondee are out there in good supply.

Weather this weekend looks cooler and partly sunny – come see us while the picking is prime.

Photos show one of the “secret Honeycrisp” trees and a Macoun tree,  both at the bottom of the orchard – nicest crop of either that we have seen.  Worth the walk down the hill.

We are continuing  to see lots of familiar folks.  More people are realizing the season has started earlier this year – which is due to the much warmer weather.

Today we opened up the southern section of the orchard for picking of Honeycrisp, Cortland and Macoun.  Zestar, Ginger Gold, Macintosh and Gala are still in good supply.

Honeycrisp ripen in stages so pick the apples with good red and yellow color and leave the green ones to ripen later.

Cider and syrup are well stocked.  Donut kitchen will fire up on both Saturday and Sunday.  Check out hats and shirts with the Mad Tom logo.

Big crop this year is a welcome change from last year with the May freeze. We saw lots of familiar faces this weekend.

We will have plenty of  Zestar, Ginger Gold, Macintosh and Gala for picking.  Zestars and Ginger Golds are the ripest – Macintosh and Gala are ripening earlier the usual.
