GREAT WEATHER FOR APPLE PICKING

Forecast is for sunny weather both Saturday and Sunday.  This will probably be our next to last weekend.

We have opened up all the late varieties – Crimson Crisp, Golden Delicious, Northern Spy,  Empires and Fuji.  There are Cortlands in good supply down the hill, and a few Macouns.  Galas are good uphill from the barn, and also down the hill.

A lot of Honeycrisps have been picked, but we can direct you to locations where you can still find good ones.

Macintosh on the 86 year old trees in the old orchard have a very good crop – still very crisp with great flavor.  The climate in Vermont allows us to grow the best Macintosh.  You can pick drops at half price.

100 gallons of Dutton’s cider is on hand and plenty of Havoc Hill maple syrup as well

Sylvia and our daughter Jennifer will be  making many batches of cider DONUTS both Saturday and Sunday.

Come see us while picking is still good – fall color on the mountains is coming on well.
